The response we've had has been fabulous, particularly from our more recent brides. So much so that we've had to split it into two parts.
The design of wedding dresses from the recent years are quite classic. The big change was the demand for long sleeves and this was even before Ms. Megan Markle made her grand entrance.

There was a lot of crepe, a fabulous fabric which I have always loved because of the way it drapes the body and moves in a fluidlike manner. Long sleeves work best with simple dresses and pack a big punch in the style stakes. The other major change was the move towards deep V neck designs. V necks have to be either deep or very wide. Otherwise, they can fall into the "Mumsy" category, not a look we are going for !!

A big thank you to all our brides over the last 4 decades...It has been a joyous trip down memory lane. I've recognised so many faces and remembered many of the gowns. Some I had forgotten but seeing them again has been a real treat. I might even bring some back to the shop for the next generation of brides. Thank you again for the time you've taken and the lovely comments and compliments it has been emotional.
